Matthew Hodder

Matthew has worked in Behavioural Psychology for over 13 years and is professionally accredited with the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board, the UK Society for  Behaviour Analysis, regulated by the Professional Standards Authority as well as holding Full Membership to the British Psychological Society. He has worked in a range of clinical settings, including private healthcare, NHS inpatient, NHS community services and charitable organisations.

Matthew has spent his career working with adults and children with intellectual disabilities, neurodiversity, challenging behaviour, forensic behaviour, psychological trauma, and a range of mental health conditions. With experience of setting up and managing services, direct support work and clinical practice, Matthew strives to apply a person-centred approach to his practice, with a focus on enabling people to maximise their quality of life and have the confidence to manage challenges safely and effectively. 

Matthew provides all elements of behavioural psychology including specialist assessment, formulation, reporting and therapeutic intervention for a wide range of purposes.

Lucy Robinson

Psychotherapist

Lucy is a skilled and experienced counsellor dedicated to supporting children, young people, and adults through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. With a background in working with individuals facing emotional and behavioural difficulties, as well as those engaging in high-risk behaviours, Lucy provides a safe, understanding, and professional space for healing and personal growth.

Her expertise covers a broad spectrum of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, emotional and behavioural challenges, and complex conditions such as mood disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, and complex trauma.

Beginning her career in residential children’s homes, Lucy has extensive experience working with highly complex cases. This foundation led her to transition into counselling, where she now offers tailored therapeutic support to both children and adults, helping them navigate life’s difficulties with confidence and resilience.

Lucy’s integrative, relational approach prioritises the therapeutic relationship, tailoring evidence-based therapies to each client’s needs. Her person-centred framework incorporates Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Creative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Focused Rewind Technique, CATT Model, Psychodynamics, and Transactional Analysis (TA).

Professor Jill Bradshaw

Consultant Speech and Language Therapist

Jill has worked with children and adults with learning disabilities and/or who are autistic for over 30  years. She qualified as a speech and language therapist in 1992, now practising as a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist. Jill is also a Professor of Communication in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. She has worked in the NHS and in Universities, regularly consulting to services for both children and adults as part of her roles.

Jill is a registered member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists and registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council. Jill is also The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist’s National Clinical Adviser for Learning Disabilities. 

Angela Woods

Executive Administrator

Angela is a diligent, detail-oriented administrator with over 15 years of experience within the National Health Service (NHS). She joined Hodder Healthcare in 2025 and continues to provide high-level administrative and operational support.

During her time in the NHS, Angela managed busy reception services and supported multidisciplinary teams including midwives, district nurses, CBT therapists, and podiatrists. Her responsibilities included coordinating appointments, managing patient check-ins, typing clinical reports, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of services.

Angela is an integral part of Hodder Healthcare, and prides herself on providing efficient, professional support for the clinical team to focus on delivering excellent care.

 

Judite Amaral

Clinical/Forensic Psychologist
HCPC Reg: PYL36690

Judite started to work in the UK in 2014 in a management position to support people with autism, learning disabilities and Personality Disorder with the aim of supporting young adults to improve their skills and live independently. 

In 2019, she got her recognition as a Forensic Psychologist that helped her to return to her passion. Since then Judite has worked in charitable organisations and NHS inpatient settings. Judite has now completed her accreditation process and is recognised as both a Forensic and Clinical Psychologist by HCPC. 

Judite has worked in different settings with a wide range of ages and presenting needs. She started her career in prison settings but has since spent a number of years working in schools, trauma, family support, community services and mental health hospitals.

Judite is always keen to embrace a new project if she feels that she has the appropriate skills to support in line with her high quality standards.

Judite describes herself as a perfectionist and someone who takes a compassionate approach towards people and her work.

Yong Waters

Counsellor

Yong is a person-centred counsellor interested in different approaches, who can integrate different tools/ways of looking to support client needs. Yong has particular experience and interest in the wide variety of people and presentations seen in all different individuals; neurodivergence and anxiety.

Yong has worked in schools, supported living, children’s residential and psychiatric hospitals. Across their counselling career, Yong has worked with forensic clients, children and adults and is a valued member of the Hodder Healthcare Forensic Service branch. 

Riley Mackenzie

Riley has worked across a range of mental health and supported living settings, including psychiatric intensive care units (PICUs), community-based crisis services, and specialist placements for individuals with complex trauma and personality disorders. With a background in trauma-informed care, DBT-informed practice, and crisis intervention, Riley has developed a strong skillset in managing high-risk situations with compassion and clinical insight.

Riley began their career in frontline support roles and has since progressed into leadership and advisory positions, contributing to service development, positive behavioural support planning, and staff training. Their work is grounded in a commitment to co-production, dignity, and the belief that everyone deserves the right environment to thrive.

Riley holds qualifications in Mental Health First Aid, Safeguarding, and First Aid, and has extensive experience supporting individuals with C-PTSD, EUPD, dissociation, and behaviours of concern in both locked and community settings. Riley is an Associate Member of the Institute of Leadership, a registered member of the Institute of Health and Social Care Management, and is listed on the Voluntary Care Professional Register, reflecting their commitment to high standards of professional practice and ongoing development in the health and care sector.
